Spring is finally around the corner, and as I soak in the sunshine, I can’t help but think back to Becky and Austin’s engagement session. Their shoot took place on her dad’s sailboat on Lake Erie, and I still can’t get over how magical the whole experience was. 🌊✨

From the very first moment, I knew we were in for something special. The weather couldn’t have been better, and the setting—oh my goodness! Shooting on a sailboat with the gentle sway of the water beneath us was a first for me. I’m not going to lie, it definitely tested my balance (thankfully, I stayed dry! 😂), but every moment was so worth it. The way the sunlight danced across the water and the couple’s love for each other made for some unforgettable shots.

There’s something about being near the water—whether it’s a lake, ocean, or beach—that brings such a calming energy. On those tougher days, you’ll find me taking a stroll along Lake Erie at Edgewater, just taking in the view and resetting. The connection between the couple and the natural beauty around them made these images even more meaningful.

Becky and Austin were a dream to work with, and their chemistry made capturing their love so effortless. I’m beyond excited to share these photos and couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. It’s shoots like this that make me feel so grateful to be a photographer and to document moments as beautiful as this one.
