Your Wedding Isn’t a Photoshoot

Let’s be real, your wedding day isn’t just about getting the perfect photo. It’s about you and your person, surrounded by the people you love most, sharing laughs, wiping happy tears, and dancing your heart out. It’s not a styled shoot or a Pinterest board brought to life. It’s your day, and it should feel like it.

Of course, the photos matter. You’ve probably spent hours scrolling through wedding inspiration, pinning your favorite portraits and candids. And I totally get it, you want beautiful photos that capture all the big moments and the in-between ones. That’s where I come in.

When you book me as your wedding photographer, my goal isn’t to turn your day into a rigid photoshoot. Instead, I’m here to help you feel present and at ease. I’ll guide you through portraits with just enough direction so you feel confident and natural, not stiff or overly posed. But beyond that? I’m more of a fly on the wall, documenting the real, heartfelt moments as they unfold.

The way your partner looks at you during the ceremony. The tearful hug from your mom before you walk down the aisle. Your friends cracking up during speeches. Those are the moments that matter most and those are the moments I love to capture.

So my biggest advice? Enjoy your day. Let go a little. Laugh a lot. Don’t stress about where to put your hands or whether your hair is falling a little out of place. Trust that I’ll be there to document it all with care and intention.

If you’re planning your wedding and want a photographer who truly gets it—someone who values real moments over perfect poses—let’s talk. You can send me a message [here] or head to my contact page to get started. I’d love to hear what you’re dreaming up.
